Fisheries and Aquaculture has long been an area of specialization at University of Hormozgan. The department of Fisheries is a comprehensive and dynamic department at University of Hormozgan and provides education for undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate students and trains professionals in the field of fisheries, aquaculture and environment. The faculty members of this department exhibit a diverse array of skills and expertise including fisheries management, aquatic ecology and biology, aquaculture, conservation physiology, and environment. They also conduct outstanding regional, national and international research projects in fish and invertebrate culture, fish and shellfish habitat and stock assessment, fisheries enhancement, conservation and management and marine environment and pollution.
